Prentice was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and started playing music at age 6. He went to the University of Memphis where he majored in Jazz Performance. Prentice has played in many local bands as well as with BB King, Justin Timberlake, Erykah Badu, and Ann Peebles. Currently, Prentice plays with William Graves and Soul, and A-440.
