Can I rent an instrument online?

Absolutely!  Check out our band instrument rental page or our orchestra instrument rental page for more information or to rent online. 

Do you have any other locations?

Amro has just one location in Memphis; we believe we help our customers best by creating a large selection of instruments and accessories as well as concentrated expertise in one location. During the fall — from late July until September — we do have several satellite locations to help with basic band and orchestra rentals and accessories. How do I return my instrument?

You can bring it by the store any time we're open.

If you're outside the Memphis area, we'll be happy to send you a FedEx label through the mail or by e-mail: all you have to do is securely pack the instrument, put the label on it, and either take it to a FedEx facility or give them a call to pick it up from your home. Click here for more information about returning an instrument.

Can I sell my band or orchestra instrument back?

We do buy used instruments occasionally. Feel free to bring it in; if we can't buy it, we'll be happy to suggest ways to sell it, help you determine a fair value for it, help you with an accurate description, etc.

Do you buy pianos or sell them on consignment?

We buy certain kinds of used pianos and often sell pianos on consignment for customers. We're always happy to talk to you about your piano. If we can't buy your piano, we can offer you information and advice on selling it privately. Please submit your info here if you're wanting to sell your piano.

Do you recognize exceptional local music teachers?

The Amro Music Educator Walk of Fame recognizes music educators who have had a powerful and exemplary impact on Mid-South music students; names of those elected to the Walk of Fame are engraved in the bricks at the entrance to Amro. If you have nominations for our Walk of Fame, please contact us.

Can Amro contribute to my charity event/auction or advertise in my yearbook?

Amro Music proudly sponsors and supports many local organizations. To request a donation, contribution, or sponsorship, please fill out the application here. We will review your request and contact you shortly after the committee has reviewed the application. 

How often should my piano be tuned?                                                           

Most piano manufacturers recommend four tunings the first year, and at least two tunings each year thereafter.  Many institutional settings require more frequent tunings, to alleviate some of the natural elasticity in the strings.  Amro Music tuners perform additional tunings on most pianos before delivery. Environmental conditions, such as humidity, and frequency of use can affect tuning stability.
