Nick Averwater

Band Department Manager/Arkansas Educational Representative

Joined Amro in 2013

Nick is the band department manager and is also responsible for sales and service to eastern Arkansas schools. He played trombone at Christian Brothers High School and graduated with his MBA from UT Knoxville in 2013.

 

 

 

LaDonna Gibson

Arkansas Band Instruments Educational Representative.

Joined Amro in 1998.

LaDonna is responsible for sales and service to Western AR schools. LaDonna received a degree in Music Education from ASU, and played clarinet in the ASU bands.  She directed band at Brinkley Middle School for one year and Bald Knob High School for sixteen years. Personal interests: Music and Traveling.

 

 

Keith Sanders

Mississippi Band Educational Representative

Joined Amro in 1994.

Keith is responsible for sales and service to Mississippi schools. He played trumpet in the Carthage High School band and received a music education degree from Ole Miss. He directed bands at Hattiesburg Public Schools for two years and at Southaven for eight years. Personal Interests:  traveling, music and spending time with family

 

 

Janice Wood

Shelby County Educational Representative.

Joined Amro in 2002.

Janice assists Memphis and Shelby County bands with instruments and tools to make their programs a success and help children to discover music. Janice has a BA in Communications from the University of Memphis and played the trumpet in Jr. High and High School. Personal Interests:  travel, writing, and old architectural structures.

 

 

Reece King

Kentucky Educational Representative

Joined Amro in 2006.

Reece received his Bachelor of Music Education and Bachelor of Arts in Music from Murray State University and he received his Master of Music from the University of Minnesota.  He then taught middle and high school band for 7 years in Kentucky.Reece is the principal trombonist for the Paducah Symphony Orchestra. He is married and has two wonderful children. 

 

 

John Emerson

East and Central Mississippi Representative

Joined Amro in 2014

Prior to joining Amro, he and his wife taught band for thirty plus years. Their bands consistently earned superior ratings in concert, sight reading, and marching including six state marching championships.

 

 

 

John Easley

Middle Tennessee Representative 

Joined Amro in 2017

John is responsible for sales and service in Middle Tennessee. He recently retired after thirty-four years as a music educator. He spent thirty-one of those years as the Director of Bands at Union City High School in Union City, Tennessee. The Union City Golden Tornado Marching Band was an eight- time finalist at the prestigious Contest of Champions at Middle Tennessee State University, a ten-time Class Champion at Bands of America Regionals and a six time Bands of America Regional Finalist. John received his Bachelors in Music Education and Masters in Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin.

 

Jason Spraggins

West Tennessee Representative

Joined Amro in 2016

Jason is responsible for sales and service to schools in West Tennessee. He received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Lambuth University in Jackson, TN and a Master of Arts in Education from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. Most recently, he served as the music teacher and band director at Haywood Middle School in Brownsville, TN. He is currently completing the final requirements toward earning his Ed. S. degree with Austin Peay State University. His original music for concert band is published by Warming Sun Music (released 2017), Gary P. Gilroy Publications (2018 release), and Alfred Music (2019 release).
