Looking to sell your piano? Perhaps Amro Music can help!

Occasionally, Amro Music is able to purchase a used piano from an individual or institution. Before we are able to do so, many factors must be considered: current inventory levels and customer preferences, finish, manufacturer, condition, make, model, and size - just to name a few.

Antique Pianos We Don't BuyWhat about Antique Pianos?

Unfortunately, we don't purchase antique uprights like the one pictured here.  Because many older pianos are worn-out and no longer suitable for piano lessons or serious use, we are only interested in potentially purchasing pianos of the following brands:

  • Steinway & Sons
  • Boston
  • Essex
  • Baldwin (made within the last 30-40 years)
  • Mason & Hamlin (made within the last 30 years)
  • Charles Walter
  • Yamaha
  • Kawai
  • Young Chang
  • Henry F. Miller (made within the last 30 years, no spinets)
  • Samick
  • Pramberger
  • Story & Clark (made within the last 30 years)
  • Boutique European Brands considered on a case-by-case basis (Bosendorfer, Petrof, Schimmel, etc...)

What if my piano doesn't match the criteria above?

Here's a great article (we didn't write it!) about older pianos and the challenges they pose for their owners and potential new pianists. The best thing to do is to contact us by phone and arrange a disposal service for most old uprights.
