Our Commitment to Your Privacy and Personal Information

With regards to privacy and personal information, we use a simple rule of thumb:

We will not use your information in any way that we would not want our information used.

It’s as simple as that.

The information that we collect

• Anonymous website statistics and information (through GoogleAnalytics) that can used to improve our website and make information easier to find
• Information submitted through contact forms, orders, and rental information that are used to answer questions, fulfill orders, and establish accounts so that we can assist you in the future
• Credit card PIN numbers are not stored for your security.  

Email addresses

The email address that you provide may be used to follow up on questions, provide account information, as well as for updates, company news and events, and an occasional newsletter.  

If you wish to unsubscribe from our events and newsletters, you may do so at anytime.  At the bottom of the newsletter there is a link.

How we protect your information

Your information is extremely important to us.  If we did not feel confident with our systems and security, we would not ask for it.

Our website does not store any personal information (such as your social security number or credit information). Any transactions made through our web store are conducted through GoogleCheckout.  Amro does not process your credit card or even receive your credit card information.  Please see Google Checkout for details and their privacy policy.

Your personal information is encrypted and housed on computers that are not accessible from the Internet.

Instrument rentals and financing

When renting instruments, we do ask for personal information that is needed to verify your identity and credit history.  We use this information to report your payment record to the appropriate credit agencies and in most cases help your credit rating.

When renting online, this information is collected using 128-bit encryption and is removed from our website completely within hours.

Third-party companies

We do not sell, trade, or share your information with any outside organization without your permission.  However, we do report credit payment history to the three major credit bureaus: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax.  

From time to time, we offer special finance promotions through and by outside financing companies.  These agreements are between the buyer and the outside company.  The terms and companies are disclosed upfront.

Amro’s privacy agreement only applies to Amro Music and our website.  It does not apply to websites or pages that are linked to from our website or 3rd party companies.
