Instrument Check-in

Students,

All “school-owned” instruments (marching and/or concert) will be collected ____________ during _______ period.  All brass instruments should be thoroughly washed and sanitized, the mouthpieces cleaned, and valves re-oiled for summer storage and fall use.  All woodwind instruments should be properly cleaned and polished.  All personal items (reeds, oil, medals, etc.) should be removed from the case, due to the fact that instruments will be re-issued for fall use.  You may or may not be re-issued the same instrument.

All instruments should be repaired, including dents, replacement of pads, stuck slides, chipped mouthpieces, and damaged ligatures, prior to check-in.  Any instrument repair costing over the yearly band fee of $________ will be assessed to the student using the instrument last!

Sincerely,

Band Director
