Laura assists Pat with orders,
bid items and provides backup customer service to band directors.
Laura was born in Louisiana and moved to
Arkansas, where she played the trumpet in the Heber Springs HS Band. Laura worked in the music business
during the 1980s in Los Angeles, and has been playing
electric bass guitar in a local blues band for the last 10 years.

Alan Compton
In-store Band Representative
Joined Amro in June 2005
Alan offers customer service to band directors and their band
parents in TN, AR, MS, and KY: he fills orders from band directors and enters & tracks school repairs. Alan makes sure the road reps have what they
need.
A percussionist for 25 years,
Alan attended Memphis State/U of Memphis for Percussion Performance. He marched Colts Drum and Bugle Corps in
1990; Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps from 1991-1993; and performed with
the Brass Theater from 1994-1995.
He later worked as a Brass Theater instructor/backstage manager from
1996-1998.
He served as a percussionist for
Original London, US Tour and Broadway Casts of Blast! from 1998-2001.

Linda Vales
In-Store Band Representative
Joined Amro in June 1997
With Alan, Linda offers customer service to band directors and their band
parents in TN, AR, MS, and KY: she fills orders from band directors and enters & tracks school repairs. Linda makes sure the road reps have what they
need.
Linda has played piano since 2nd grade, 2 years of flute, and percussion for 25 years, playing in the U of M marching band and various
ensembles at the University. She also played with the River City Community Band on
trips to London and the Netherlands and in concerts around
town.
Personal Interests: Music, reading, spending time with her
daughter and husband.
