Drum Sticks
Drums sticks are the most important accessory for your drum. Large diameter sticks are easier to control than small diameter sticks. Beginners usually start with a 2B or SD1 pair of sticks. Smaller diameter sticks can be played with greater sensitivity and speed, making them great for jazz. The larger the diameter the heavier the stick, and this means a louder sound - great for marching drums.
Mallets
There are many different types of mallets. Yarn mallets are used on marimba. Rubber mallets are used for marimba and xylophone. Cord mallets are used on vibes. There are also mallets for bass drum, chimes, gongs, and quad drums. For specific reccomendations, please drop by or email one of our Percussion Experts.

Practice Pads
Practice pads are great idea when you don't have a drum at home or you want to practice without waking up the whole house. You can get stand alone practice pads that can be set on a table or pads that have an optional stand. You can also get a practice pad that fits on top of a snare drum that mutes the full sound.
