"Couldn't I buy a 'cheap' instrument from someone?"

This is a question that we get asked a lot. The answer is Yes quite possibly, but be careful. Many instruments are not appropriate for school music programs. Others are in need of costly repairs. If you buy and repair a used instrument and your child drops out of band, you're stuck with an instrument. A playable instrument is essential to your child's success in music. The initial months are the most crucial. Take care not to start your child with an inappropriate or hard-to-play instrument.
