The Amro Recruiting Program

The Amro Recruiting Program consists of four steps:

    1. Show them the Band

    2. Convince them they Can Play

    3. Invite them to Join

    4. Enlist their Parents’ Support

In the first step, “Show them the Band,” you’ll organize a band concert for the potential beginners. The performance will present band as an exciting activity, generate interest in the instruments, and allow potential beginners to see older students they know playing.

Next you’ll “Convince them they Can Play.” You’ll have them hold and try the instruments and give them a musical aptitude survey.

Then you’ll issue the students official “invitations” to join and congratulate them on making the band.

Finally, you’ll “Enlist Parent Support.” You’ll meet or communicate directly with the parents, answer their questions, and encourage their support.
